Anniversary!

Last weekend, we celebrated our second wedding anniversary! We still haven't made those t-shirts my parents recommended, saying "I survived Wendy's wedding" (for those who remember the stomach flu that went around), but we have yet to have an anniversary with any mishap that memorable. (Although in all the most important ways, our wedding was still one of the very best days of our lives - it's true!)

So... we actually had a great time celebrating our anniversary and took the opportunity for one more trip around Switzerland. Starting in Neuchatel where we live in the west, we took a southern route by train to Chur in the east, passing Lausanne, Sion, and Andermatt (among others). We stayed the night in Chur in a simple but friendly and clean hotel. Before hitting the sack, we went out to eat dinner at a nice Italian restaurant (note our proximity to Italy) with a gift given to us from Eric's parents. The picture to the right depicts our happy state after finishing that meal.

On the way back the next day, we took a northern route through St. Gallen and spent 5 hours in Luzerne, one of the prettiest cities in Switzerland (see our photo album). There we visited 2 churches, one from the 1200's and one from the 1600's, two old covered bridges, the city wall and towers, their aviation museum, and the planetarium.

We are so thankful to the Lord for our marriage. I can't imagine a better husband, and all those years we waited for one another, God knew all along....

I meant to tell you Happy Anniversary but I keep forgetting! That was a special time, as I had to come down alone because Heathley was too little to travel! :) Take care!
